It's Who You Are.

Every piece begins with a story before it becomes ink. Coral City Tattoo specializes in bold Japanese and American Traditional artwork — strong lines, rich contrast, timeless imagery, and designs made to hold their presence over time.

Tribal, Polynesian-inspired, fineline, realism, color, and custom work are also part of what we do, giving each client the right style for their idea, placement, and personal expression.

Frequently Asked Questions

Walk-Ins & Appointments

Walk-ins are best suited for simpler ideas such as small symbols, initials, short words, clean outlines, and straightforward linework. Larger pieces, detailed custom work, or designs that require more planning will usually need to be scheduled in advance.

A walk-in may not be the best choice for large Polynesian work, detailed custom pieces, cover-ups, or designs that require significant planning or revisions. Coral City Tattoo can help you determine whether your idea is a good fit for a walk-in or should be booked ahead.

You can book by calling, texting, or reaching out through our website or social media. We’ll usually ask about your tattoo idea, placement, approximate size, reference images, and whether you have a preferred artist.

Custom Artist Matching

Japanese and American Traditional are a major focus at Coral City Tattoo, with Polynesian-inspired and tribal work, fineline, realism, color, lettering, and custom designs also available. We’ll help match your idea with the artist whose style is the best fit.

A good fit comes down to the artist’s style, portfolio, communication, design approach, and experience with the type of tattoo you want. Tell us what you have in mind and we can help point you toward the right artist.

Yes. A custom fineline tattoo can begin with something as simple as a rough sketch, phrase, symbol, reference image, or personal memory. Our artists can help refine the idea into a clean tattoo concept that works for the placement and size you choose.

Absolutely. Good spacing, thoughtful placement, clean linework, and a few carefully chosen details can make a minimal tattoo feel personal without making it overly complicated.

Talk with your artist about the story or meaning behind the piece, the direction of the pattern, body placement, and how much space the design needs. These details help the tattoo feel intentional and allow the artwork to flow naturally with the body.

Polynesian-inspired work often looks strongest when the design follows the natural movement and shape of the arm, shoulder, chest, leg, or back. Planning the flow helps the tattoo feel integrated with the body rather than placed on it like a flat image.

Share the meaning behind the tattoo, your preferred size and placement, reference images you like, and anything you definitely do not want included. You don’t need to arrive with a finished design—the artist can use those details to help develop the concept.

Yes. We can help you compare placement options based on the size and shape of the design, visibility, body movement, level of detail, and how the tattoo will sit naturally on the area.

Start with details that connect to something meaningful to you—a memory, culture, place, person, milestone, belief, or experience. From there, your artist can help shape those ideas into a design that feels personal without becoming overcrowded.

Deposits & Booking

Yes. A $40 deposit is required to hold your appointment and is applied directly toward the cost of your tattoo session. Deposits are non-refundable, but they can be transferred to a rescheduled appointment when enough advance notice is provided.

What Should I Do Before My Session?

Eat a full meal before your appointment, drink plenty of water, and arrive well rested. Wear or bring comfortable clothing that gives your artist easy access to the area being tattooed, and avoid alcohol for at least 24 hours beforehand.

Aftercare & Healing

We’ll walk you through a full aftercare routine before you leave the studio. Healing typically takes about 2–4 weeks. Keep the area clean, moisturized, and out of direct sun, and reach out to us if you have any questions while your tattoo is healing.
