Our Story
Coral City Tattoo was founded by artist Michael Amaral, whose passion for tattooing began long before he opened the doors of his Honolulu studio. What started as a love for art and personal expression grew into a commitment to creating meaningful, high-quality tattoos for clients across Oʻahu.
Michael built Coral City Tattoo with a simple goal: to provide a space where every person feels welcomed, respected, and confident that their ideas will be brought to life with skill and care. Today, the shop is home to three talented artists, each with their own strengths, from fine line work and black and grey realism to bold traditional pieces, Polynesian designs, Japanese influences, cover-ups, and fully custom creations.
At Coral City Tattoo, we believe a tattoo is more than ink on skin. It’s a story, a milestone, a memory, or a vision someone chooses to carry for life. That responsibility is something we take seriously. Every tattoo begins with a conversation, a sketch, and a collaboration between artist and client.
